Music Magazine Design

These are the designs for my front cover, contents page and double page spread for my pop music magazine. The ideas I have come up with for the front cover have been inspired by other magazines such as 'Billboard', 'Vibe' and 'Nylon'. For example, the way it only has one main image in the middle, and then all the text around it. 

For the contents page and double spread I have looked at other magazines such as 'Heat' and 'More' for ideas, even though these aren't music magazines, I just looked at them for the layout of the contents page and things. For example, instead of stating what is on ever single page, i have done 'on this months cover' which will have a brief description under the heading, and then a 'the best of the rest' bit where there will be other main things that will be featured throughout the magazine. I decided this, as it is a monthly magazine, it will be quite big and so it will be too much text if I wrote whats on each page.
